The Anchored & Rising Circle

The Anchored & Rising Circle offers practical addiction family support for mothers, partners and other women affected by a loved one’s addiction.

Learn how to respond more effectively, set boundaries you can maintain and make clearer decisions—whether you are supporting recovery, still deciding what to do, living apart or rebuilding your life.

Loving them should not mean losing yourself.

  • You may be constantly wondering what to say, what to believe and what to do next.
  • You want to support their recovery—but you are frightened of enabling them.
  • You set boundaries—but struggle to maintain them when the guilt, pressure or next crisis arrives.
  • You may be supporting recovery, still deciding what to do, living apart or trying to rebuild after the relationship has ended.

And while other people tell you to “just walk away” or “stop helping,” you are left to deal with the complicated reality.

You need more than general encouragement. You need practical guidance for the situations you are actually facing.

Inside the Circle, you’ll learn practical ways to:

⚓ recognise the difference between helping, rescuing and enabling;
⚓ respond to denial, blame, manipulation and broken promises;
⚓ set boundaries based on what you will do;
⚓ decide when financial or practical support is genuinely helpful;
⚓ encourage recovery without taking responsibility for it;
⚓ manage guilt, fear and the urge to fix the next crisis;
⚓ communicate more calmly and trust your own judgement;
⚓ make clearer decisions about staying, stepping back or moving forward.

Learn to ANCHOR yourself when life feels uncertain

You cannot control another person’s choices—but you can learn to respond with greater clarity, steadiness and self-trust.

The ANCHOR self-coaching method helps you pause before reacting, understand what is happening beneath the surface and choose your next step more deliberately.

Instead of being pulled straight into fear, guilt, anger or another crisis, you begin to ask:

What is happening here? What belongs to me? What can I influence? What do I want to do next?

This is not about becoming cold, detached or giving up on someone you love.
It is about staying connected to yourself while deciding what loving them wisely looks like.

Through the ANCHOR approach, you will practise how to:

⚓ notice your thoughts, emotions and automatic reactions;
⚓ separate urgency from what genuinely needs action;
⚓ recognise what is yours to manage—and what is not;
⚓ make choices that reflect your values and boundaries;
⚓ respond more calmly, even when the situation remains difficult;
⚓ reflect on what worked and adjust your next step.

You may not be able to control their recovery. But you can become more anchored in how you respond.

Together, these four foundations create the emotional structure you may have been missing — helping you stay steadier while you navigate real life.

Support that meets you where you are

You do not have to be ready to make a major decision.

You may be supporting recovery, still deciding what to do, living apart or trying to rebuild your life after the relationship has changed or ended.

The Circle is designed to help you understand your situation more clearly, strengthen your own judgement and take the next step that is right for you.

You can learn quietly, join the conversations or bring your questions to the live sessions. There is no pressure to disclose more than you wish.

Addiction family support for every stage of the journey

This is not simply a place to talk about how hard things are. It is a place to learn, reflect and practise responding differently.

WHO THE CIRCLE IS FOR

The Anchored & Rising Circle may be right for you if:
You love someone struggling with addiction
You feel overwhelmed, unheard, or emotionally exhausted
You’ve lost pieces of yourself while trying to support someone else
You want calm, clarity, and confidence again
You’re ready to look inward — gently — and grow
You want practical tools and grounded support
You crave a space where you’re not judged or told what to do
You want change — even if you’re not sure what that change looks like yet

You do not need to have everything figured out before joining.

You may be deeply involved in supporting recovery, quietly questioning how much longer you can continue, or trying to rebuild a life that has revolved around someone else’s addiction for far too long.

Wherever you are in that journey, you are welcome.

WHAT IT IS NOT

The Anchored & Rising Circle is not:
addiction treatment for your loved one
emergency, crisis or medical support
legal or domestic-violence advice
a substitute for counselling, rehabilitation or specialist services
a promise that your loved one will stop drinking or using
a place where anyone will pressure you to stay, leave, forgive or cut contact

The Circle focuses on helping you understand what is happening, make clearer decisions and respond in ways that reflect your values, boundaries and wellbeing.

Where there is violence, coercion, threats or immediate danger, specialist domestic and family violence support should take priority.

You will be taken to Skool to create your private member account.

Your payment method will be charged US$10 per month after the free trial unless you cancel beforehand.

Why I created the Anchored & Rising Circle

Hi, My name is Megan Ruffino.

I know how consuming it can become when someone you love has an addiction.

The uncertainty, repeated hope, broken promises and fear can gradually pull your attention away from your own needs, judgement and future.

You may find yourself watching, waiting and reacting—trying to prevent the next crisis, say the right thing or finally make them understand.

Over time, it becomes difficult to know what is genuinely helpful, what is keeping the pattern going and what you are entitled to choose for yourself.

I created the Anchored & Rising Circle because compassionate addiction family support should include practical guidance, not simply reassurance.

They need somewhere they can:

  • learn practical ways to respond;
  • understand the patterns they are caught in;
  • reflect without being judged;
  • rebuild trust in their own judgement;
  • make thoughtful decisions without being told what they “should” do.

My work draws on lived experience, professional life coaching, NLP, hypnosis and years of studying how people can think, respond and live more deliberately—even when the circumstances around them remain uncertain.

You may not be able to make them stop.
But you can learn what helps, what harms and what your next step needs to be.

Frequently asked questions — FAQs

Do I have to attend the live sessions?

No. The sessions are recorded, and replays are available inside the Circle.
You can use the teaching, prompts and resources in your own time.

Do I have to post or share personal information?

No.
You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you choose. You can observe quietly, work through the resources privately and join conversations only when you feel comfortable.

Is this only for partners of people with addiction?

No.
The Circle is for mothers, partners and other women affected by a child’s, partner’s or family member’s addiction.

Will this help me make my loved one stop?

No one can guarantee another person’s recovery.
The Circle will help you understand what may support change, recognise responses that may unintentionally protect the addiction from consequences, communicate more clearly and decide what you are willing to do.
The focus is not on controlling them. It is on helping you respond more wisely and protect your own life.

Can I join if my loved one does not believe they have a problem?

Yes.
Many women join precisely because the person they love is denying the problem, minimising it, blaming others or refusing help.
The Circle can help you understand what you can influence, communicate more clearly, stop getting pulled into the same arguments and make decisions based on what is actually happening—not only on promises that things will change.

Can I join if I am no longer in the relationship?

Yes.
The impact of loving someone with an addiction does not necessarily end when the relationship ends.
You may still be dealing with grief, guilt, anger, uncertainty, practical ties or the urge to return. The Circle includes support for women who are living apart or rebuilding after the relationship has ended.

What if I am still deciding whether to stay or leave?

You do not need to make that decision before joining.
The Circle will not pressure you in either direction.
You will be encouraged to understand your situation, consider your safety and wellbeing, strengthen your judgement and make decisions that are right for you.

Is this suitable if there has been abuse?

The Circle may provide complementary emotional and self-coaching support, but it is not a substitute for specialist domestic and family violence services, legal advice or emergency assistance.
If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services or an appropriate specialist service in your area.

Is the Circle private?

The Circle is hosted in a private Skool community. Only members can access the community content and discussions.
Members are expected to respect one another’s privacy. However, as with any online community, you should avoid sharing information that could identify you or another person if doing so could place anyone at risk.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes.
You can manage or cancel your membership through your Skool account.
Your access will continue according to Skool’s billing and cancellation arrangements.

You do not have to solve everything today

You do not need to know whether they will recover.

You do not need to have the perfect boundary, the perfect words or a complete plan for your future.

You only need a steadier place from which to take your next step.

The Anchored & Rising Circle offers ongoing addiction family support, practical guidance, self-coaching tools and thoughtful support to help you understand what is happening, respond more deliberately and stay connected to your own life.

Their addiction cannot be your whole life.

Your life is still yours.
